Universities hold a specific role in information society. Their traditional task is dissemination of information. Legal instruments can be used to restrict the access to information and to exclude particular subgroups – f.i. by agreements of privacy. On the other hand legal instruments also allow to give access to information and to protect the access by specific rules a selection of which will be discussed in this contribution.
