With the development of digital media for teaching in university settings, blended learning has become popular. Although face-to-face instruction still has its place in this format, redesigning existing courses requires skills in media literacy, in addition to didactic know-how. We investigated possible ways that we could integrate low-cost, low-tech online learning effectively into the existing curriculum at our institution, considering the staff’s minimal experience with e-learning. This article describes how an existing series of anatomy lectures for bachelor programs in health professions was redesigned into a blended learning format, how it was implemented, and how it was evaluated.
