The School of Management and Law at the ZHAW (Zurich, Switzerland) has launched a new program called Flexible Teaching and Learning (FLEX). The new FLEX program allows students to be more flexible in terms of time and place by cutting classroom learning time in half and replacing it with a three-week online learning phase. This creates a new space for learning that strengthens the connection between formal and informal learning. This paper describes the transformation and implementation process across all 34 modules, as well as the instructional design of the learning space
