Point of learning: A project report about learning locations (Lernorte) at the University of Hohenheim

In the "mobile Lehre" (mobile teaching) project at the University of Hohenheim, we leverage the potentials of mobile devices to support university-level teaching. The learning management system ILIAS and smartphone application are the foundation of the leanring locations (Lernorte). We developed the software and evaluated both the user acceptance and the didactical integration of the concept. This system makes it possible to raise lecturer and student awareness of real-life teaching and also supports knowlegde transfer by managing innovative, situated didactical scenarios. The members of the project team have received two national prizes, and the learning locations will be further developed.
