The text focuses on the implementation of problem-centred learning. It is a summary of our experience with a course in experimental economics. The goal of the course was the learning of particular topics in behavioural economics as well as the acquisition of the experimental approach. We argue that students are capable of developing and conducting certain different variants of economic experiments. In this way they come to comprehend the matter taught better than through traditional classroom experiments. Additionally, students enrich their social competence by developing proficiency in solving complex problems within a group.
