How can problem-based learning (PBL) concepts be successfully implemented in scientific education programs in the STEM disciplines? As part of the Education Alliance mint.online part-time degree, programs and certificate courses for the STEM disciplines are being developed. They are geared towards the rapid integration of current research results and a development of curricula for specific target groups, and they should take the special needs of heterogeneous students into account. In addition to the organizational challenges, this paper highlights the variety of PBL methods from three different programs.
