During the initial study phase of the baccalaureate at the Vienna Department of Communication a solid education in social-scientific methods is a core value. Moreover, the large amount of students and multiple parallel offers of lectures and professional seminars complicate the achievement of a homogeneous knowledge base for the major field of studies. Backed by eBologna initiatives of the Rector’s office the e-Learning project of the Department of Communication was established in 2005 to implement the curricular and interdisciplinary objectives of the study by the means of Blended Learning.
