A fundamental problem in teacher education at universities relates to the fact of mediating between the dualism of two approaches: a humanities-orientated and an empirical educational science.
Case-based educational science as a method of reconstructing the latent sense structures of cases in pedagogical working fields can be understood as a research-orientated learning in teacher education.
