Acquiring professional competences with the support of mentoring tandems: A win-win situation for students and student teachers

This paper describes an introductory course to teaching methodology based on the latest research and personal teaching experience. The course adopts an action-oriented approach that connects theory and practice by integrating mentoring tandems in order to support the development of highly relevant professional competences. This paper describes the course concept and presents the results of the evaluation.
