The alliance of leading technical universities in Germany (TU9) co-produced an English-language Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on "German Engineering" in the winter term 2014/15. The aim of this course was to make prospective students worldwide aware of a variety of continuing education courses offered by the TU9 universities and to attract international talent for continuing studies in engineering in Germany. In this sense, MOOC@TU9 combined the aspects of marketing, student counseling and self-assessment. This paper describes the didactic and technical concept and presents experiences and initial results from the evaluation of the project.
