Degendering Science was a project at the University of Hamburg with the aim to make natural science more attractive to students attending the faculties of natural science, the faculty of education and the gender studies programme by developing a module on „Gender Studies and Natural Science“. The article presents this module including its six components on introductory, advanced, and research level and gives some examples for classes that can be taught within the module structure. The experiences of teaching natural science in a social and cultural context and the possibilities to start a trans-cultural dialog are reflected as well.
