Most experts agree that blended learning is the easiest way to integrate new learning technologies in teaching. However, such a change also requires a rethinking of learning environments, which can be quite a challenge. The teaching staff needs to acquire expertise in using new technologies, and students are given different tasks than before. Not all teachers or students are well prepared to face this challenge. E-Learning may be the key to modern teaching, but this will not happen by itself. Following the idea of the sustainability of e-learning, this article shows and discusses two examples from the FHNW School of Social Work.
