In the 2013/14 academic year, the Staging Knowledge artistic and intellectual research method was implemented in teacher training for the first time via the exhibition PAIN FULL OF PLEASURE—A Cultural History of Suffering. The main aim of the project was to foster the creative, associative and interpretative competences of teacher training students from different school subjects. This process was evaluated within a PhD project at the University of Art and Design Linz. The exhibition, created by the students as a curatorial team, provides an example that is applicable for ongoing artistic and intellectual research.
