Bielefeld University is facing a growing demand from upper secondary schools, pupils and teachers for comprehensive information about different study options. This development coincides with a desire to provide information and guidance related to different study options more efficiently. The transfer of information is increasingly transpiring in the context of visits by larger groups of pupils. As a consequence, classical educational guidance and counseling formats – which operate in individualized one-on-one settings – are no longer able to meet the steadily rising demand. In light of these developments, information and guidance services for large groups are becoming more important. For universities, the challenge consists in pooling and conveying relevant information in a comprehensive way within large-group formats.
