This paper presents a didactical concept, as well as its implementation into the mathematical courses for Electrical Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology and the consequences thereof. The first part of the paper discusses the structure of the course before the project commenced. The next section focuses on several deficiencies in the old structure, as well as ideas for new didactical concepts for both lectures and exercises. The practical realisation of the project is then presented, and some of the previous evaluations are presented and discussed as well. The article concludes with a presentaiton of further transfer activities.
