With a university-wide project group called “Development of the Study Programmes”, the JMU Würzburg made concrete progress concerning the organisational development of the “development of study programmes” process within a period of six months. A new target process, criteria for feasibility and a revision of the mapping of modules were defined to form a basis for qualitative improvements in studies and teaching. One key success factor for the project was the combination of a participative involvement of all stakeholders and actors with stringent project management and external complementary consulting, which empowered the people involved to develop constructive solutions together.
