Politicians have responded to the desiderata of the Bologna reform by establishing the Quality Pact for Teaching. In this context, the University of Tübingen promotes and academically supports innovative curriculum construction. A holistic professionalisation of the field is intended. Based upon theoretical assumptions about facilitating professionalism in every-day vocational practice, the concept of scientific support presented here is also based on a model of curriculum construction. Within the complex university setting, it offers a guideline for the development of coherent study programmes. To this end, the process has been modified in a user-oriented manner in ideal-typical steps.
