Open Educational Resources and Open Access (OA) are of great importance for innovations in higher education. Universities face the challenge of providing high quality in terms of both technology and didactics. The current analysis of student perspectives and attitudes towards OER and OA is based on a sample of 1,400 students at the University of Cologne. The study reveals that students are sceptical about innovative forms of OER. However, they would like to use them in addition to conventional learning formats to achieve a higher flexibility with regard to their studies.
