Experiential learning with remote labs in engineering education

Although laboratories provide a suitable setting for the implementation of experiential learning practices in Higher Engineering Education, their potential is rarely used. This paper describes remote laboratories, which integrate different learning paths to allow students to conduct self-directed research, thereby leading to unique learning experiences.
