For dual, practice-oriented degree programmes, it is particularly important that they be evaluated in terms of whether or not they are meeting important goals, such as high-level competencies and employability. During the expansion of a new programme in the field of business administration at Berufsakademie Oldenburg, we developed an innovative approach that employs stakeholder interviews. The stakeholders interpreted and critically verified the results of the interviews based on a widespread model of competences. Eventually, we modified and adapted the results in accordance to the Dublin Descriptors, which are used in the European higher education system. Based on this approach, it was possible to design a future-oriented degree programme that meets national and international education standards.
