Computer-based simulation games have been established as an integral part of business education at universities in the recent past. Therefore, this article addresses the possibility of systematically enhancing soft skills by means of such simulation games. Based on an empirical study, we investigated to what extent measurable soft skills change as a result of participating in a business simulation game. The empirical findings indicate that although positive changes are indeed possible, but the changes do not cover anywhere near the entire range of soft skills. The relatively high expectations pertaining to this modern didactical instrument are not necessarily satisfied in this regard.
