The ongoing reform process at German universities challenges students as well as teachers: students have to find ways to manage their workload and teachers are faced with radically changing requirements for their class design. These requirements comprise a more competency-based arrangement of their classes. In order to satisfy these requirements, suitable “blended-learning” settings were developed and tested during the project “Netzwerk Bildungswissenschaften” (NetBi) which captures the education of teachers. These classes are accessible by all teacher students in the state. The authors of this article describe their approaches addressing critcial issues during the collaboration process of the involved universities.
