RuhrCampusOnline: Strategic Cooperation in the Field of Higher Education at the University Alliance Metropolis Ruhr

The University Alliance Metropolis Ruhr is a network of the three Universities in Bochum, Dortmund and Duisburg-Essen. Within this network the project RuhrCampusOnline is developing a model to implement eLearning courses that can be attended by students registered at one the universities in the alliance. The project analyses the potentials of cooperations in higher education as well as the organizational conditions that need to be established for a sustainable implementation of elearning. First experiences lead to recommendations for the successful implementation of eLearning courses in a university alliance.
