Using new media to improve research at universities of applied sciences

The use of social media is progressing at a rapid pace. This article describes how a combination of internet-based instruments is used to support research activities at a university of applied sciences. The findings show that although researchers use the information provided, there is still no observable increase in interaction and networking via social media. However, a positive influence was idenitified with respect to the image of the University.
