The underlying principle of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” is a complete set of methods that allows for the presentation of (dry) content in an exciting and interactive manner. These methods, which are flexible and can combine sensory perception in a variety of ways, can be applied to meet many teaching needs. In this article, we present three different applications of this principle, all which were successfully implemented in three different branches of science to replace traditional presenter-centred lectures. All methods based on this principle feature an interactive, game-oriented and multimedia character, which allows students to work actively in a comfortable atmosphere.
