Media convergence is changing the media landscape, and it is changing the requirements for the education and the learning environment as well. This article shows how learning architecture can be designed in order to learn, train and teach media convergence. First, the article presents the different newsroom concepts as a workspace for journalists. Then, it describes the newsroom as a learning place for media students using the example of the Stuttgart Media University. In this context, the article explains the underlying didactic method of cognitive apprenticeship and how it is applied in the newsroom. The article concludes by discussing experiences and insights about how to teach media convergence in a newsroom.
