Communicative places – a challenge for university architecture

Building universities means structuring places that promote and support the exchange between scientists, teachers, assistants and students. This requirement presents a challenge in all aspects of the development planning and interior design of universities. The present workshop report from the University of Bern provides examples for each of the following topics: area planning, building conceptions, floor plans and interior design.
