Informal areas

By 2013, the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK and the Zurich University for Applied Sciences ZHAW will complete the construction of a new high school campus in Zurich-West. In the physical spaces between institutions and departments at the future Toni-Campus, ‘informal areas’ will emerge. Architectural and corporate cultural measures will be used here to promote an interdisciplinary exchange. These zones, which represent a ‘bottom-up’ culture, will provide an attractive setting for the individual and foster a strong identification with the institution and the campus. The project ‘informal areas’ verifies and carries out measures necessary to achieve the objective.
