The campus improvement at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum will be the starting point for a new design of the building’s entry areas, with the goal of giving them an individual flair while simultaneously increasing the attractiveness of the services offered. Using the example of a newly introduced “reception area”, which will be installed in every building, we show how a process of changing rooms and areas can be initiated and which social levels must be considered in order to improve quality.
