Interfaces in E-Learning

Today digital media does not only play an important role in the field of teaching and learning at universities but in nearly every other sector, like the library, departments, further education and administration. What impact does this have on the cooperation and collaboration of the different units? In what extend will new interfaces develop due to the integration of digital media? In this article we got on the basis of expert interviews some insights how tasks and subjects as well as the cooperation between the different units have changed over time.It turned out that the unit responsible for e-learning forms a central interface between management, central service units and departments. The associates face the challenge to adress the needs of the different units and to act as change agents, system administrators and interface managers at the same time.
