The goal of the dikopost project (digital competence portfolio for students) is to develop and test e-portfolios in university teaching. Working with e-portfolios is generally seen as innovative tool for teaching and learning. E-portfolios are of special interest with regard to restructuring the courses of study due to the Bologna process and the consequent changes of study and learning conditions: First of all, the emphasis is on preventing short-term learning (“bulimic learning”) and to focus on learning as a process instead. Secondly, when working with portfolios, the concentration during one’s studies can be on competences instead of mere “output”. Therefore, a link between university and practical work also becomes apparent.
