To date, educational research in Higher Education has primarily concentrated on classroom learning. With the discussion about the impacts of the Bologna reforms a broader perspective is needed, focusing on how students organize their learning activities throughout their studies. But while there is ample research about student learning, relatively little is known about how students organize their learning activities and allocate their resources for studying. The paper takes up this issue and analyzes students’ action strategies in different study programmes compliant with the Bologna standards.
