The present paper offers an analysis and differentiation of the terms "continuous", "additional" and "further education" with regard to the trends in the Russian higher education. Closest attention is paid to teaching of foreign languages as constant component of the continuous education. On the example of restructuring the educating model of one of the most prestigious Siberian universities - Tomsk Polytechnic University - three main directions of realizing the language teaching conception are shown: internationalization and quality improvement of educating standards, computerization as well as working out of special programs.
