Cutting-edge research support: The RIS Synergy digitisation project

The RIS Synergy project (2020–2024) is addresses key aspects of digital transformation in a cross-institutional consortium. In part one, Interfaces and Standards, the project team develops standardised access and exchange options for the systems of funding organisations, research institutions and public administrative bodies. Part two, Concept Study for a Research Portal, then analyses the framework conditions and requirements for an Austrian national research portal. RIS Synergy provides assistance and increases visibility for science by standardising and digitising services, as well as building expert networks. This paper provides insight into the project’s overall approach and best practices.
