Meaningfulness in higher education: Shaping higher education of the future -
Main Article Content
Meaningfulness is a trend in higher education. University members want to engage meaningfully and see themselves as part of a larger whole. Based on the philosophical discourse surrounding meaning and work, as well as Seligman’s concept of “flourishing” and Rosa’s concept of “resonance”, an interdisciplinary model of meaningful higher education was developed. It illustrates how this form of higher education can realize the potential of all university members through profound connections with people and (learning and work) content, both within the organization and the world at large, thereby helping to meet societal challenges.
