Teaching and learning spaces influence learning success and learner satisfaction in several ways. Through the integration of digital components, traditional rooms are increasingly intertwined with online rooms, which leads to a flexibilisation of teaching, learning and testing and requires a completely new approach to teaching/learning spaces. This aspect of seamless learning is being explored and implemented at Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU) (also in cooperation with other universities and projects) in the context of the “Future Learning Experience” (FLEX) project. This included piloting the use of 360° scenarios (videos/photos) and virtual reality (VR) applications in concrete teaching/learning contexts.
