Fields of action and attractive solutions for Open Educational Resources in Austrian higher education Ergebnisse aus dem Projekt Open Education Austria Advanced

Open Education Austria Advanced contributes to the visualisation and exploitation of synergies from Open Science and Open Education in order to contribute to the free use of educational content from higher education teaching and to establish open practices analogous to the field of research (Open Access, Open Data). Attractive solutions for Open Educational Resources (OER) are being developed, including the OERhub as a search portal for OER from the entire higher education area, as well as the development of local OER repositories, a national certification body and a suitable qualification offering. The project’s far-reaching knowledge transfer to Austrian higher education institutions via libraries, central IT services and digital teaching institutions represents a further field of action.
