For many years, simulation games have been an integral part of the curricula at many universities. In order to achieve learning success, simulation games must not be used as an isolated tool, but should rather be closely interlinked with the subject of the study programme. The form and content of the simulation game should also be in harmony with the study situation and the requirements of the course of study. This article provides an overview of what needs to be considered when integrating simulation games into business degree programmes. The question is how the simulation method can be meaningfully integrated into the curricula at universities in order to use the right simulation at the right time.
