At Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, business games are an integral part of courses in business administration. Currently, only internet-based business games are used in the field of business administration studies. The applications of business games are manifold. They are mainly used in compulsory modules of bachelor’s and master’s courses to consolidate and deepen business content from previous courses. Students critically reflect upon the experience gained from different teaching concepts. One special feature of the simulation deployed at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences is the evaluation of the groups’ simulation performance. For this purpose, a special evaluation concept was developed, which students have enthusiastically accepted. In addition to evaluating the planned simulation performance, this paper describes other forms of examination that enable individual performance measurement.
