Competence-oriented management of study succes enables universities to provide concrete support for the professionalization of their students during their training and through further training once they have started their careers. This paper addresses the theoretical integration of competence-oriented elements in teaching evaluation and demonstrates this in concrete terms in the sector of teacher education. The confrontation with everyday working life after teacher education leads to a shift in the self-assessment of one’s competence level, which in its differentiation enables manifold use.
