Literature analysis to identify and categorise approaches to course development

Due an increased demand from the working environment for new and more suitable study courses, course development is becoming an area for ressearch focus. There are a number of different approaches to developing course programmes. In addition, macro-political activities have been highlighting the importance of this topic. For this reason, the aim of this paper is to examine and categorise the current literature on approaches to the development of course programmes across all important scientific disciplines. Practical implications and a research outlook conclude the article.
