The recent discussion about restricted access to higher education refers mainly superficial to the question of reducing the number of students. Different background-aspects of educational policy, possibilities to facilitate learning in large groups, expectations of students, as well as possible consequences of restrictions should be consisdered. Should not quality of higher education and best possible use of high competences be the question instead of quantiative capacity?
