Digitalisation is an all-encompassing process that requires higher education institutions (HEI) to make strategic decisions regarding employees and infrastructure. Document analysis and expert interviews are used to develop theses about trends in these HEI resources.
The relationship between the employees and the institution will change, which has implications for staff recruitment, development and management. In the future, HEI spaces will become more open, activity-based, and modularisable in their use. Digital logic will thus also be reflected in the design of resource utilisation. HEIs can make their mark and differentiate themselves in competition from other providers.
