This paper presents the results of a qualitative study with students, teachers in higher education and management of 11 universities of applied science, which was conducted in early 2021. First, the concepts of contingency and possibility spaces are used to demonstrate the challenge of designing the future higher education. The method of experimentation has played an important role during the Corona semesters and can be further used as a incremental working method. This paper shows dimensions in the possibility space which can be arranged as fields for experimentation in higher education.
