With the goal of internationalisation in university teacher education, an Erasmus+ Intensive Study Programme for students from different nations was developed. Within the framework of this programme, a course was conducted on the topic of outdoor learning using digital media in mathematics teaching. This paper focuses on the internationalisation experience, the role of digitalisation in the acquisition of such experience, and the generalisable aspects of the programme that could be transferred to other subjects. Analyses of the evaluations and interviews show that the students emphasise the potential of the concept in relation to digitisation in an international context.
