Since tutorials are highly beneficial for students’ higher education learning processes, they should be of high quality. The qualification of tutors within the Karlsruher Tutor Training helps foster this level of quality. As a number of graduates of the training went on to academic careers, a mixed methods approach was used to investigate the impact of the Karlsruher Tutor Training on the respondents’ academic work. The results show that the training serves as an instrument for supporting young scientists and enhancing teaching quality.
