Since tertiary education institutions help shape social discourse, it is essential that they address and manage diversity. This workshop report presents two exemplary measures of TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences: the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach of further scientific education “Prozessplaner*in Inklusion” (Process planner of inclusion), and the “Biographical circle” programme by the virtual college “Inklusion an Hochschulen – gendergerecht” (Inclusion in academia – gender equity). The report shows how these measures promote inclusion while dealing with diversity in society and tertiary education institutions. It also clarifies which elements can be transferred to other contexts.
