Diversity affects all areas of university life, as well as higher education policy, research and development. So far, little attention has been paid to the area of curriculum development – a process in which institutional and demographic diversity overlap (GAISCH & LINDE, 2019), and inclusion and exclusion criteria may already be established in admission requirements. This paper therefore focuses on the conditions for the development of new curricula and their effects on cultural and age-related diversity in higher education. Two examples of recently developed curricula at the University of Vienna are presented in order to critically examine their consequences for inclusion in higher education.
