There is a growing awareness of the importance of diversity at all levels of academic education. At a microdidactic level, there is a demand for a diversity-sensitive arrangement of teaching and learning. This paper views diversity as an opportunity and presents a concept for a cross-hierarchical system of seminar facilitation as a model of academic teaching that realises the related potential. In this system, individual students and a teacher form a team to jointly lead a course. This diversity-sensitive approach fosters the development of appropriate spaces for learning and progress for each person involved.
