Student’s conceptions regarding the usefulness of internships

This paper examines student conceptions regarding the usefulness of internships across different disciplinary cultures. Secondary data from the German Student Survey were utilized. A MANOVA was conducted to compare the effect of the disciplinary culture, which was measured by the degree of the occupational focus in the field of study. Altough the conceptions examined showed significant statistical diffrences, no clear pattern could be detected.
